Double Stroller Review

Double stroller review for those who are thinking about adopting more than one child. If you have two small children, a double stroller is a must, both for traveling through the airport and for going anywhere once you return back home.

But what type of double stroller works best? Should you get a side by side stroller or a tandem one, where one child rides behind the other? Here are some tips to help you decide what type would work best for you.

Double Stroller Review
Side by Side Versus Tandem Stroller

Whether a side by side stroller or tandem stroller is the best choice will depend on the ages of the children you plan to adopt. Small children generally prefer riding in a side by side stroller as they can be next to each other, but if you are planning to adopt a toddler and an infant, you might prefer a tandem stroller that will allow the toddler to ride up front where she can see, while the infant can ride in the back facing you.

As far as maneuverability, both are fairly easy to navigate and will usually fit through most doors, although the tandem stroller will naturally fit through more easily. But do keep in mind that it's length will make it harder to turn. Side by side strollers tend to be lighter which makes them easier to push uphill.

Here are some popular choices of both side by side and tandem strollers.

Double Stroller Review
Best Side by Side Strollers

Graco Twin IPO Stroller

This stroller is easy to collapse and fits nicely in the car. Parents who want a stroller for preschool children who are taller, might not be able to use this stroller, but it works well for infants and toddlers. The stroller is sturdy and will hold children who weight up to 50 pounds.

Jeep Wrangler Twin Sport All-Weather Umbrella Stroller

If you're looking for an inexpensive side by side stroller, this one can't be beat. It is very maneuverable and provides a comfortable seat for your children. It folds fairly easily and fits through most doorways. But this stroller isn't as solid as the Graco version. Also the wheels are made of foam rather than inflatable tires, so there is no shock absorbency. Still, you can't beat the price, and this would work well in an airport.

Best Tandem Strollers

Graco DuoGlider LX Stroller

This is a lightweight stroller that is easy to maneuver, slender and should fit fairly easily into the back of your car. It is longer than many other double strollers, providing more room for your children.

Graco Quattro Tour Duo Stroller

Although this is a heavy stroller, it has a lot of positive aspects, including easy maneuverability and plenty of room and storage space. This holds children who weight up to 50 pounds each.
