Children That Are Adopted

Children that are adopted; what's the rest of their story? What happens to them when they are grown, and how do they feel about being adopted? International Adoption Facts and Information is starting a new series where we hear the stories of adults who were adopted internationally as children. This is the first in that series.

Children that are Adopted
One Man's Story of Being
Adopted From China

I was adopted as an infant from China. I am now a twenty five year old male living in the United States. I am extremely close to my adopted parents, as close as any other family would be. My adopted parents are just like biological parents to me, it has yet to make a difference.

Return Some Day?

I have never returned to China, nor do I plan to. I do not know any of my biological siblings. Granted, I am not sure if I even have any. This is not important to me though. I see my siblings as the brothers and sisters I grew up with under my adopted parents.

Adopt One Day?

I would consider adoption myself, but would prefer to have kids without using adoption. However if I find my mate somewhere down the line and medical issues prevent us from having our own children, I would use adoption as it has worked for me.

Children that are Adopted and Race

I have never had any serious issues with racial differences, and most of my good friends at home, including my three siblings, are white. My life as an adopted child has been nothing but a joyous experience and I live each and every day to its fullest.

My only regret is I would like to have met my biological parents or at least known about their lives. The same goes for my biological brothers and sisters, if I have any. However, I do not dwell on these things and I treat my adopted family as if they were my biological family.
